My Journey:
From Lupus Warrior to Healing Crystal Jewelry Business Owner
Living with chronic lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis has been some of the most challenging and transformative experiences of my life. As a single mom, the stakes have always felt higher. I'm not just battling these relentless autoimmune diseases for myself; I have little ones depending on me, looking to me for strength, stability, and love. My journey from struggling with lupus to starting a jewelry business that helps others harness the power of healing crystals is a story of resilience, hope, and the incredible strength we can find within ourselves.
The Struggles and the Spark
When I was first diagnosed with lupus, my world turned upside down. The chronic pain, the overwhelming fatigue, and the unpredictability of flare-ups make everyday tasks feel like monumental challenges. But amidst the many doctor's appointments, treatments, and constant adjustments to my lifestyle, I stumbled upon something that sparked a light in my darkness: healing crystals.
I started using crystals as a form of complementary therapy. I was skeptical at first, but I soon found solace in their energies. Amethyst helps calm my anxious mind, rose quartz brings a sense of self-love and compassion, and black tourmaline provides grounding during the most chaotic days. These little stones became my companions, offering support in ways I hadn't anticipated.
From Healing to Helping
As I experienced the benefits of healing crystals, I began to share my experiences with friends and family. It was incredible to see how these stones resonated with others, too. My friends started asking me to recommend crystals and even to make pieces for them. That’s when the idea struck: why not turn this passion into a purpose-driven business and help others?
I started small, designing simple jewelry pieces that incorporated these healing stones. Each piece was crafted with love and intention, infused with the hope that it would bring comfort and support to others facing their own battles. Balancing this budding business with the large demands of motherhood and managing my lupus and RA even today is still challenging, but every positive feedback and heartfelt story from thankful customers makes it worthwhile.
Building a Business, Building a Community
Launching my jewelry business isn’t just about selling beautiful pieces; it is about building a community. I want to create a space where people can find not just products, but understanding and empathy. Through my blogs and social media, I plan to share my journey with lupus and RA, the ups and downs, the victories, and the struggles. I hope to connect with other chronic illness warriors, single parents, and anyone looking for a little extra support in their lives.
The in person response, thus far has been overwhelming. I realize that so many people are searching for the same thing I have been: a way to feel empowered in their healing journey. My jewelry has become a symbol of strength, resilience, and the belief that even in the face of chronic illness, we can find beauty and purpose.
Balancing Act
Being a single mom and running a business while managing lupus is a constant balancing act. There are days when the fatigue is overwhelming, and the pain is unbearable. But those are the days when I lean on the very crystals I share with others. They remind me of the strength within and the community of incredible individuals who believe in the power of healing.
My daughters are my biggest inspiration. They see the hard work, the struggles, and the triumphs. Growing up with a front-row seat to resilience and determination. I hope they learn that no matter the obstacles, we can always find a way to create something beautiful and meaningful.
Looking Forward
My journey with lupus is far from over, and neither is my commitment to helping others through my jewelry business. Every piece I create is a testament to the power of healing, not just through crystals, but through connection, community, and compassion.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through this journey, it’s that we are stronger than we think. Chronic illness may change the way we live, but it doesn’t have to diminish our spirit. By embracing our struggles and turning them into something positive, we can inspire and uplift others along the way.
So, here’s to all the warriors out there, battling chronic illnesses, raising children, starting businesses, and living life with an unstoppable spirit. You are not alone, and together, we can create a world where healing and hope are always within reach.
